Regional Transportation Planning Organizations (RTPO) facilitate transportation improvement projects.  The Skagit/Island RTPO (SIRTPO) is an amalgam of the Skagit and Island RTPOs, each responsible for their repective Counties.

SIRTPO
The Skagit/Island Regional Transportation Planning Organization meets a couple times a year in order that projects in both Counties do not conflict.

Skagit Sub-RTPO
The Skagit Sub-Regional Transportation Planning Organization facilitates transportation projects in Skagit County. It is advised by the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), the Active Communitee Task Force (ACT), and the Planners Committee.  The Board meets once monthly to decide on these issues.

Island Sub-RTPO
The Island Sub-Regional Transportation Planning Organization facilitates transportation projects in Island County.
