The Active Community Task Force (ACT) advises the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) on non-motorized concerns.  The TAC incorporates these concerns into there recommendations to the RTPO and MPO Policy Boards.

State Bicycle Facilities and Pedestrian Walkways Plan
Washington’s Statewide Goal is to increase bicycling and walking while reducing injuries and deaths. The Plan, created by Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), sets a goal of decreasing collisions by five percent per year for the next 20 years, while doubling the amount of biking and walking. This Plan also establishes objectives and performance measures in each of the State’s five transportation policy areas.

Walking & Trail Guide

The Walking & Trail Guide Map is intended to familiarize walkers with the many great walking and trail opportunities in Skagit County and to provide basic information for users to locate and use them.
