A 2016 change to Countywide Planning Policy 1 introduced a regional program to monitor population and employment growth in Skagit County. This new program includes the preparation of annual reports on growth.
The first report is titled the “Skagit Population, Employment and Housing Growth Monitoring Program: 2017 Baseline Growth Monitoring Report” and was adopted by the Growth Management Act Steering Committee on December 20, 2017. SCOG is the administrator of the Growth Management Act coordination process in Skagit County and assisted with preparation of the report.
Future annual growth monitoring reports will be posted to SCOG’s website after adoption.
