WSDOT Bicyclist and Pedestrian Documentation Project

DSC02960-cropThe Skagit Council of Governments Non-Motorized Advisory Committee is recruiting volunteers to assist with counting bicyclists and pedestrians at locations throughout Skagit County as part of the Washington State Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Project.

Counts will be conducted September 27-29 from 7 to 9 am and 4 to 6 pm. Volunteers will work at selected locations to enter data on simple tally sheets. Each location will be counted for one morning and one afternoon shift. Volunteers may count for as many shifts as they would like.

There are count sites in Sedro-Woolley, Mount Vernon, Anacortes, La Conner, Burlington, and unincorporated Skagit County.

July 2016 Regional Transportation Improvement Program Amendment

SCOG has received a request to amend the 2016-2021 Regional Transportation Improvement Program. The public is encouraged to review the proposed amendment and submit any written comments to Gabe Philips by noon on Wednesday, July 13, 2016. Written comments will be included in the information packet distributed to Transportation Policy Board members prior to their July 20, 2016 meeting. The public will also have the opportunity to comment at the Transportation Policy Board meeting, but written comments are preferred.

This public notice of public involvement activities and time established for public review and comments on the TIP development process will satisfy the Federal Transit Administration’s Program of Projects requirements.
