Notice is hereby given that the Skagit Council of Governments (SCOG) has made the recommended regional prioritization of human services transportation projects available for public comment. The recommendation has been made by the Skagit Special Needs Transportation Committee (Committee), an ad hoc committee created by SCOG’s Transportation Policy Board to advise them on this prioritization process. Through the prioritization process, projects will be assigned regional priority for the statewide 2017–2019 Washington State Department of Transportation Consolidated Grants Program. Projects have been evaluated by Committee members using regional criteria and weights approved by the Transportation Policy Board.
The public comment period closes on December 5, 2016. Action on the regional prioritization of projects is anticipated at the January 18, 2017 SCOG Transportation Policy Board meeting. All written comments received on or before December 5 will be distributed to the Transportation Policy Board one week before the meeting.
An electronic copy of the recommended regional prioritization can be downloaded from SCOG’s website. Paper copies are available at SCOG offices located at 204 West Montgomery Street, Mount Vernon, WA 98273 during normal business hours. Please contact Mark Hamilton at (360) 416-7876 or email@example.com with any questions about the regional prioritization process. Written comments must be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to the address above.
