The Skagit-Island Human Services Transportation Plan (HSTP) is available for public comment. The HSTP is a regional coordinated plan that was developed through engaging persons with special transportation needs — including the elderly, persons with disabilities, and persons with low-income — and their service providers, through a regional planning process. The 14-day public comment period on this document is from Wednesday, November 5th through Tuesday, November 18th.
If you would like a paper copy of the HSTP to review, they are available at SCOG offices at 204 West Montgomery Street, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
Final action on the HSTP is anticipated at the Skagit-Island Regional Transportation Planning Organization Policy Board meeting on December 3rd, in Coupeville. A public comment period will be provided at the December 3rd meeting, and at meetings of the Skagit sub-RTPO (on November 19th) and Island sub-RTPO (on November 26th). The HSTP will be an agenda item on all three meeting agendas.
If you would like more information on any of these meetings, have any questions or comments about the HSTP, or would like a paper copy — please contact Mark Hamilton at (360) 416-7876 or email@example.com.
